Hosting a Company Christmas Party in St. Petersburg, FL
Updated: Oct 2
Planning a company Christmas party in St. Petersburg? The annual holiday gathering is a chance to step away from the office, celebrate the year, and give your team an experience they will actually remember.
But finding something that works for everyone can be a challenge. Another dinner at a restaurant may be easy to arrange, but it does not necessarily make for a memorable evening.
Fortunately, St. Petersburg has plenty of options for companies looking to do something a little different this holiday season.
Start With an Experience
The best company holiday gatherings give people something to talk about. Instead of making dinner the entire event, consider choosing an experience that gives your team something to enjoy together.
You might plan a private dinner, organize a team activity, visit a local attraction, or build your evening around live entertainment. The key is finding something that fits your group and gives everyone a reason to step away from work and enjoy the evening together.
Host a Traditional Holiday Gathering at Traditions on Tyrone
For companies looking for a dedicated event venue, Traditions on Tyrone offers a more traditional approach to the company holiday party.
The newly renovated St. Petersburg venue features several distinct event spaces designed for corporate gatherings, celebrations, and other private events. Its spaces range from smaller rooms to areas accommodating larger groups, with event planning, catering, and audiovisual capabilities available.
For a company that wants dinner, drinks, conversation, and the holiday celebration itself all in one location, Traditions on Tyrone is worth considering.
Start the Evening With Dinner at Hawkers
Sometimes, a great company holiday party starts with great food.
Hawkers Asian Street Food in the EDGE District offers a lively setting for groups, with a menu built around Asian street food and plenty of dishes that are easy to share.
Its Central Avenue location also makes it convenient for companies that want to make dinner just one part of a larger evening. Start with a meal, then head to another nearby experience or entertainment venue. Visit Hawkers Asian Street Food
Add a Team Activity at Sandbox VRs
If your team would rather do something than simply sit around a table, Sandbox VR in St. Petersburg offers a completely different kind of group experience.
Sandbox VR uses full-body virtual reality to put groups into shared virtual worlds. The St. Petersburg location specifically offers corporate events and team-building experiences, along with semi-private gathering areas and the ability to transform a VR room into a private lounge or meeting space with audiovisual capabilities.
It is an option for companies looking to incorporate some friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of conversation into their holiday gathering. Explore Sandbox VR St. Petersburg
Make Magic the Main Event at Zubrick Magic Theatre
Of course, there is another way to make your company's holiday celebration stand out: make the entertainment the event.
Located in St. Petersburg's EDGE District, Zubrick Magic Theatre offers a private evening of magic, comedy, and grand illusions in a purpose-built 97-seat theatre.
Rather than gathering around a conference room table or trying to keep everyone entertained after dinner, your group can have the theatre to themselves for an Exclusive Performance.
Private performances are available for groups of up to 97 guests, with options to add catering, bar service, additional theatre time for presentations or socializing, and other custom touches.

Build a Night Around Your Holiday Party
One of the advantages of hosting your company celebration in St. Petersburg is that the party does not have to begin and end at the same venue.
You can build an entire evening around your event:
Dinner + Magic Start with dinner at a nearby restaurant such as Hawkers, then head to Zubrick Magic Theatre for a private performance.
Team Activity + Dinner Get everyone involved in an immersive experience at Sandbox VR, followed by dinner and drinks.
Private Event + Entertainment Choose a dedicated event venue such as Traditions on Tyrone and create a traditional holiday celebration with food, drinks, and entertainment.
Entertainment + After Party Make the private performance the centerpiece of the evening, then continue the celebration with drinks or dessert nearby.
The EDGE District, Central Avenue, Grand Central District, and downtown St. Petersburg all offer restaurants, bars, entertainment, and other attractions that can easily become part of a larger company outing.
Give Your Team Something to Talk About
A company Christmas party does not have to be complicated to be memorable. Sometimes the best approach is simply to give everyone a reason to step away from work and enjoy an experience together.
Whether your ideal evening involves a traditional private event at Traditions on Tyrone, dinner at Hawkers, an immersive team challenge at Sandbox VR, or a private evening of magic at Zubrick Magic Theatre, St. Petersburg offers plenty of ways to make your company's holiday celebration feel like an actual event.
If you're planning a company Christmas party for your team, Zubrick Magic Theatre can create a private evening of magic specifically for your group.
